Poggio Mori.Sarteano.Siena
The original 1700’s building which had once belonged to a nobile tuscan family could be hardly recognized when we started work on 2006. Orignally a farmhouse tipology, combination of barn and residence, this travertine-blocks building was stripped bare inside and outside, and oak hardwood used throughout for roof structure as well as furniture. Transformed into a two families residence with top floor guest quarters and additions of a limonaia building and four blocks of guest rooms paired around a private courtyard, forms a composition around a large double story courtyard partially topped by two reflecting pools. The new compound is a boutique country hotel within a biological farm and winery in the Senese hills of Tuscany.
