The Angelica Library was founded in 1604 as the first public library in Rome. Initially designed by Borromini as part of the Augustine Convent his design intended to make it play part of the piazza's re design, an integrated composition between Saint Augustine, renaissance adjacent church, and the facing Collegium Germanico. A finissage piece created for the exhibition Beyond Books and named Inside Out was installed outdoors projected over the facade of the church, on the evening of the closing day.
