In some cases, intervening with extreme simplicity and constructive logic goes against trend, even in strongly conservative territories. This was the case of this project for a small atelier on the Côte d'Azur, a semi-demolished former animal corral adjacent to a water mill next to a stream. New buttresses and a copper dome were all that was necessary, but the urban planners in this area of France preferred more imaginative strategies.
