Cà dei Venti
A family residence on the Bolgheri hills in Castagneto Carducci.
It arises as an allegory of the hill settlements of the Etruscan towns, the first of which there are references in Tuscany. The apparent disconnected volumes are arranged as a fan across the slopes of a hill on the Tuscan coast, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Contained by a stone ribbon wall, the large volume spaces relate to each other through galleries and terraces; large glass windows dissolve the distinction between interior and exterior, the landscape becoming the true integrator of the living spaces.
